  • I spent most of the day doing some soul searching.  It has been a near day long journey of thought, prayer, scripture, and song.  I just had a few questions on my mind and decided to wade into finding answers.  Finding answers lead to more questions.  Those questions caused me to take a deeper look at myself.  What I found is best described by this quote from Bill Johnson, "If the fire of God is not in your life, give Him something worth burning."  I have found that I have plenty of fuel for the fire.  It has left me feeling a plethora of emotions.

It is difficult to see your own weaknesses and to come to terms with them.  To flush out imperfections and bare them in the light of day has left me feeling broken.  Knowing there needs to be less of me and more of Him.  It is odd experiencing such bitter brokenness while at the same time being filled with such hope and joy.  I am going to go spend some time in prayer and get some sleep.  God Bless.

    Zechariah 13:9

    Amplified Bible (AMP)

9And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined and will test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will hear and answer them. I will say, It is My people; and they will say, The Lord is my God.

  • Long Day.

Grandmother in the hospital with chest pains.  Mom in the hospital with a fractured pelvis.  And my Mom ran into a neighbor who was in there for falling off a ladder.  Going to get some sleep, Goodnight and God Bless!

  • New Years Wishes.

I wish all of you a Happy New Year.

A new year for many is the turning of a page, the start of a new chapter.

A blank canvas in which anything is possible.

For those who are frustrated, I pray you find peace and patience in the coming year.

For those who are grieving I pray you find comfort.

Those who are seeking I pray you find answers.

Those who are sad, lonely, depressed, I pray you find love, friendship, and joy.

Those who are struggling, I pray you find hope and courage.

Those who are sick I pray you will be healed.

Those who are angry, I pray you find peace, forgiveness and understanding.

I pray that all of you have a healthy, prosperous, and safe New Year.

As I was pondering what I wanted to write this evening I came across the following.  I tend to look towards the future and try (key word) to let the past stay in the past.   Just a few bits of scripture I read this evening, I find it fitting for the new year, albeit just another day.

I will leave them here, mostly for personal reflection later.

    2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

    Philippians 3:13-14
No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.

    Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

    Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

    Lamentations 3:22-24
The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, "The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!"

     Psalm 117

    1 Praise the LORD, all you nations;
       extol him, all you peoples.

and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.

       Praise the LORD.
