My mind is in ten different places right now. So instead of posting jumbled thoughts, here are some songs to convey what I am feeling, thinking, wondering.
For the past few days I have had a song running through my head. While this is normal for me, it lead me on a journey throughout the day. It started this morning before work reading this post here by @thebraziliandude . Stephan got me thinking of how we often focus on the exterior, when the heart is what God desires most. When our hearts are in the right place, we begin to see the world in a different way. We strip away the labels, and we see hearts. Connecting with people genuinely with a heart passionately seeking God allows us to love as we are loved. Perfectly, unconditionally, and completely. Such a love breeds compassion, kindness, forgiveness, charity, and empathy.
I later came across a video @LKJSlainhere . Just further solidifying the theme today has had. Watch the video it is worth a few minutes of your time.
Which leaves me to the song I have listened to a few dozen times in the past couple days. It is from recently resurrected Five Iron Frenzy lead singer Reese Roper's band Brave Saint Saturn. I will let the song speak for itself.
1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

The past few weeks have been interesting to say the least. Plagued with little sleep, drama, issues, disasters among other things. Surprisingly I have remained at an even keel. I had a few moments where I just wanted to flip out or say "I don't want to live on this planet anymore." That is were faith and friendships have been a blessing. Those moments where I needed a nudge I have gotten one. I am thankful in many ways. Court in the morning and I am exhausted. I just wanted to post something, anything, so yeah...
Hebrews 10:22 (NIV)
22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Thought of this verse and song after talking with a friend. Only took me 2 hours to dig up the song. Time to head to bed. Work comes early.
Matthew 11:28-30
New International Version (NIV)
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
